Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you set sail.

The Charter

Your charter fee includes accommodation onboard, a professional skipper, food & drinks, and a private chef. Not included are flights, mandatory travel insurance, meals ashore, personal expenses, and gratuities.

The catamaran we deploy depends on group size. We work with luxury catamarans ranging from small groups to parties of 10+ people.

No, you have two options. You can book the entire catamaran privately for your group, or book a single cabin and share the boat with other guests. There is an option for every budget and group size.

On Board

Yes, Wi-Fi is available on board and included in the price.

Our crew speaks English. If you have questions or special requests, we make sure communication always runs smoothly.

Absolutely! Families with children are very welcome. There are plenty of water activities such as snorkelling, and safety always comes first.

No, absolutely not. We have a professional skipper on board who handles everything. Always wanted to learn to sail? Our skipper is happy to share his knowledge and show you the ropes. You decide how actively you participate.

Absolutely. We're happy to help arrange day trips, scooter adventures, wine tastings, winery visits, scenic hikes, and restaurant reservations ashore. Our skippers know the area well and can often secure the best spots or a great table, even during busy days. Activities and restaurant costs are at your own expense. We recommend letting us know your preferences in advance so we can organise everything smoothly.

Breakfast and lunch are included every day and freshly prepared on board by our chef. Dinner plans depend on the destination you choose. Some evenings we cook and eat together on the boat, while other nights we head ashore to enjoy local restaurants and beach bars.

In Croatia, we usually eat out more often, around 5 nights during the week. In St. Martin, it's typically around 3 nights because there we go to more remote spots. Dietary requirements and allergies can of course be accommodated, just let us know before your trip.

Keep it simple and pack light. Think swimwear, comfy clothes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and something light for cooler evenings. Most guests spend their days barefoot or in easy boat shoes.

Soft bags or duffels are highly recommended since they're much easier to store on board than hard suitcases.

Kitesurfing

Yes, it is optional. Both in St. Martin and Croatia there are opportunities to go kitesurfing, for beginners and advanced riders. Lessons and equipment are available on request (not included in the price).

Practical

In St. Martin we depart from Simpson Bay Marina on the Dutch side of the island. In Croatia we depart from a marina near Split. You will receive exact location details in advance. We welcome you on board at 18:00 with a welcome drink, where you also meet your skipper and chef.

You can check in from 18:00 on the first day of your charter. Check-out is on the last day at 09:00, back at the departure marina.

The route can always be adjusted in consultation. We know the waters well and work with you to create the best programme.

The best season for St. Martin is November through April, outside hurricane season. For Croatia we sail from May through October. May, August and September are ideal months, with beautiful weather and less crowded than peak season.

Safety always comes first. If conditions aren't suitable, the skipper may adjust the route or itinerary. For named storms or hurricanes, refunds or reschedules are generally not possible due to fixed charter schedules. We strongly recommend travel insurance with storm coverage.

Booking & Payment

You can pay the total amount in one go or choose a phased payment plan. This applies to both a private charter and a single cabin booking:

  • 10% is due at the time of booking, or within 24 hours as a reservation.
  • 40% must be paid no later than 30 days after the booking date.
  • 50% must be paid no later than 60 days before departure.

Booking between 90 and 60 days before departure? The 40% must then be paid within 7 days of booking. Booking less than 60 days before departure? Then 100% of the total amount is due within 7 days of booking.

We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card and PayPal. Payment can be made in both euros and dollars.

Yes, travel insurance is mandatory. Your policy must include trip cancellation and interruption coverage, named storm or hurricane coverage, and emergency medical assistance for sailing and water activities. Proof of insurance may be requested before departure.

Absolutely, our guests join solo, and it's actually one of the best ways to experience the trip. Just send us a message on WhatsApp and we'll add you to our community groups, where you can introduce yourself, connect with other travelers. By the end of the week, chances are you'll leave with new friends and unforgettable memories.

One week is the minimum charter duration. Want to stay at sea longer? That is possible in consultation.
